About Us

For over fifteen years Trevor and Andy have supported research and conservation projects in coastal Alaska, having worked with numerous universities and almost every natural resource agency. We didn’t come to this work through academia. Our education happened outside—on boats, along the coast, and in the backcountry—learning by spending time in wild places and paying attention. Over the years those miles have added up, particularly around Kodiak and the Katmai coast, where guiding trips and working vessels became their own kind of apprenticeship. The wildlife and landscapes here are the real teachers. Our job is to keep showing up, stay curious, and help others experience these places the same way.
