Welcome to GMX!
GMX traces its roots to a marine research company with operations throughout Alaska. Our love of exploration drew us into the research vessel industry, and that work opened the door to many amazing hidden places. These places span from the Aleutian Islands to our home, Kodiak Island, the unforgettable Katmai coast, and on throughout Prince William Sound and the Inside Passage. Our research cruises have varied from coastal bird and mammal surveys, to deep sea oceanography, to undersea exploration in support of marine archeology.
In 2015 we began offering tours developed from the best of these encounters and featuring experiences too awe-inspiring not to share. What does an expedition with us look, smell, and taste like? I have now traveled with Trevor and the Island C crew on three separate trips and every one of those trips has been nothing short of amazing!
